Isn't fun when you forget how to do something.


I use to have an App that I could user to update my blog.  That no longer exists and using a tablet is problematic.




I have been doing lots.

• Photograph classes
• Studying French

Not to say the least, stay healthy.  How are you going with that?

I'm trying to squeeze a 25 kms walk to raise funds for Peter Mac Cancer Research.

If you have any ideas give me a shout out.

This was the start a scrapbooking page for a girls night before my cancer surgery.  It was painted with watercolour with a shimmer topcoat.

I love this and it's exactly what art means to me.

Moving on from a bad experience.

Those who have children will associate with this.

I look at Pinterest, old art journals, old scrapbook pages.

Art books, magazines are also great sources.

I'm also part of www.atcsforall.com and some of the themes are great inspiration.

The theme here is Ghost Children. Being childhood friends that we have lost or lost contact with. This is Jenny and she was diagnosed with Cancer when we were 12. Sadly she didn't make it. Jenny was the first person I knew that had developed cancer. This is one of 4 cards.

Fill Your Life

I love this saying and it really strengthens the reason why I scrapbook.  Living is for enjoying and being in the moment.

A life re-reading the past is a life wasted.

If you have some troubles these can released via a journal or art journal.  I once read a book, a very long time ago and it said if something is troubling you and you can do something to change it, DO IT.  If you are unable to change it, write a letter to yourself.  This letter can be on paper it could also be in wet sand.  The letter could be written in your art journal.  The purpose of the letter is that it goes.  If on paper you can throw it in the bin, place it in an envelope, glue it shut and put it in your journal.  If written in your art journal, paint over it.  You will always remember what you have done but the worry will be gone.

Life is precious so enjoy every moment.

It's Been So Long

Do you have high expectations of your self?  Do you think this stops you from trying/completing things?

I am my own worst enemy. The bar I set myself is so high. It takes me forever to design things. 

I do understand that we are our own greatest enemy. We are so critical of ourselves. 

I just read this great article:

This article talks about putting yourself out there. Really we have nothing to lose. 

“My whole life I’ve done that. I’ve been so hard on myself. I needed my hip replacement because of bone degeneration. I didn’t eat right and ended up here, all because of external judgment that I had internalized. All out of fear.”

Your belief in yourself has to supersede your current state of success.

That’s what Gandhi’s famous words, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world,” really mean.

This is my drawing of my Spirit Guide. 

2016 Goals - Really

Resolutions:

Do you set them?  Do you achieve them?

Me = probably not.

This year will be different.  I will set intentions.



Why do I fail, because I fail to plan.

Setting Intentions rather than Resolutions.

Setting Intentions. I like setting intentions for the year rather than goals as often goals are not being reached and then people use them to beat themselves up with by the end of the year. Intentions, on the other hand, are gentler and allow for fluidity and forgiveness. :) If you want to set goals instead of intentions, by all means go ahead! :)

What I've done is to complete an intentions envelope and is to be placed in my Journal.  I got a piece of paper 10" square, but it could be smaller.  I had in my head that it would fold down to 5" but its larger.

I folded each corner into the centre, creating an envelope with your "intentions" written on the inside. You can decorate the outside however you please.  I have used the new Charlotte Paper.  This paper is great as you can independently colour in the flowers.
